After having a rather horrid day on Saturday, Sunday turned out to be quite nice. To console myself I bought some of these:
note to self: really must move my recycling box!
And made some of these:
Recipe from the lovely Lucy at Attic24. Chocolate chip cookies and Oat cookies.
The beautiful plate was a part of a giveaway win from Rachael at Clever Cheshire Cats. Look at these gorgeous goodies:
Last night, I stumbled across this beautiful SAL and spent the remainder of the day drooling.
I really REALLY want this. Is anyone else planning to do it? You can buy the chart here and the SAL can be found here. The chart is in three parts but the third part is not yet out until March.
I also managed to order the much needed threads to start Shores of Hawk Run Hollow and also some posh threads to finish up Winter Whites. Hopefully I'll have a finish soon to show you.
The lovely Suz has also invited me to her CAL of making a bedspread with those flowers on my last post so I have been thinking a lot about this and colours etc. I am yet to finish the scarf first though. Soooo much to do... so little time.
Have a great week everyone.

Sorry you had a bad day Saturday. Bummer. Love the daffodils though. And great prize win too! I love that SAL piece -- so pretty! I think you should go for it. :D That's so cool too, making a bedspread out of the flowers! Wow! I'll have to visit that blog just to see! Looking forward to seeing your flower scarf some more!
The cookies look delicious! This time of year, I love to have fresh flowers in the house as it reminds me that spring is just around the corner. Plus, tulips become available here. I love a simple bouquet of single color flowers.
I've thought about that SAL! I do love the pattern but just have so many other things that I love, too. I need to stitch faster! I can't wait to watch your progress on it.
The daffodils are lovely!

Gorgeous daffs. A lovely sign of Spring.
Oh I saw that SAL yesterday and fell in love with it straight away. I am VERY tempted I must admit but not sure I'd be able to keep up with it. I might buy the charts later on and stitch them at my own pace. Will see how things go before it starts as it's not until mid March.
The daffodils look lovely. Just the thing to cheer anyone up! You have the best of luck, Hazel! You've won quite a lot of giveaways if I recall correctly. Love the plate! And those cookies sure look yummy!

Yummy cookies and I'm glad the plate has been put to good use. I have to say I've never done any stitching on charts before but that one looks lovely and makes me want to have a go. Rachael Xx

I bought myself the same sort of flowers recently, also to cheer myself up. They're a marvelous tease of spring-to-come, aren't they? :)
Daffodils are amazing for cheering one up in the middle of winter! For me, a plate of homemade cookies would be even better! ;-)
