Just wanted to share a couple of photos I have of Misty curled up on me. This cat is just like a new born baby! She is sooo cuddly and soft. Yes she is as soft as she looks. Did I mention she has learnt to fetch just like a dog? Really happy with this little one. Don't mind the rather tired looking pic of me - it was late in the evening.
Back to school for my dd and a deep breath of relief from me. Don't get me wrong, I love and adore my kids but six weeks over the summer with my dh away for half of it and myself quite ill for the rest of it, I am glad to get back to normal. So here she is on her first day in year 2. How she has grown!
I was so blessed today to get this great rak from Kathy. She wrote the kindest words in her note saying she hoped it would cheer me up and it did just that. The photo doesn't do it justice. It is so pretty and sparkly and as you can see it already has a home on my favourite gingher scissors. Thank you so much Kathy. I love it.
I was browsing a christian website last night when a couple of books caught my eye.
I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has read these books what you think of them. I have ordered them from Amazon but will take a couple of weeks at least to come.
Right, I am away to stitch and catch up on blogs. Have a good weekend everyone. x
Edited to say that Elisa is having a wonderful giveaway on her blog. Go check it out.

I hope the new school year will give you a chance to recover from your summer!!
Glad to hear your health is improving. Keep it up!!!
Enjoy your fob.
Such gorgeous photos of your cat. What a cutie!
I know, my stash blog's quite a read. A little embarrassing really, but I keep adding more to it!
Hazel, love the furbaby pics, what a beautiful kitty! Hope you get things back to normal, after the long summer.
I haven't read either of those books, but I am betting they are wonderful.
Aw, what a beautiful kitty! Enjoy your back-to-school days!!
Oh my, what a cutie, bet cuddling cuts into the stitching time, but who could resist such a adorable kitty.
Hope all went well at school for DD lots of mums i know felt it was well past the time for them to return back.
Lovely photo of your daughter, I hope she enjoys this school year! I hear you on loving them being home but also being quite happy to send them off to school! I love my kids but sometimes it's nice to have a bit of peace. Your cat is adorable! Love the RAK. You deserve it. Hope you're feeling better.
Hi Hazel!
Stopping in to say hello.
My how your daughter has grown!
The kitty is beautiful.
The RAK is so pretty, isn't it nice to get a surprise every now and again.
Raggedystitches,
Louise
Glad you are back to normal again!
Great picture of your DD, she is pretty!
And the cat is so adorable.
She does look quite the cuddler. I've read where ragdolls can act a bit like dogs at times, liking to fetch things. Hope things continue to settle down now that your DD is back in school (isn't it amazing how quickly they grow) and hopefully you're feeling better.

What a cute kitten! And such a lovely gift!!!!
I just couldn't resist My Lady's Quaker! It would be wonderful for you to join me in January! I'm stitching Quaker Christmas and 2 friends are doing Quaker Friendship!
Glad to hear you are feeling better! Your daughter is beautiful!!!!
Hope your DD is enjoying Year 2. Sounds like some time to yourself is just what's needed.... & cuddles with that gorgeous bundle of fur would do anyone a power of good. :0)
