And the winners are.....

I just want to say thank you all for entering my giveaway - I am amazed that so many people entered and if I could I would stitch you all something.

So here are the winners in first, second and third order as pulled out of the hat by my dd Lily.

First winner -
dsc03795
Jamie!! You get first choice!

Second winner -
Second winner Cheryl
Cheryl!! Well done!

Third winner -
Third winner Dawn
Dawn!! Well done. An email is on its way to all concerned!

On another note - we went for our 20 week scan this week and we found out we are having a boy!!!! Can't quite believe it. What do you do with a boy??? We are so used to our little girl that it took a while to get used to the idea of having a little boy but I am coming around to the idea. It will be different but in a nice way I am sure. It will be the first Grandson on my husbands side so everyone is really excited.

Sewing wise, I have been working on my HAED a little and also on the Harvest Exchange that I am signed up for. I ordered a chart for it but not arrived yet :-(
Also ordered the book Repertoire des Frises?? from Amazon France - thought I may get some nice ideas from there for the redwork exchange but that has not appeared yet either. Hope they come in time for me to stitch!!

Here is a picture of the disaster fabric I bought from Sugar Maple for Cirque de Cirque. As you can see it is totally not suitable for cdc. It was not this shade at all on the website. I have emailed and they have offered to exchange it for another one but I will have to post it back to Canada and then have the risk of something just as unsuitable coming back. So I am not sure what to do. I could try dying it but that would cost money and again it may ruin the fabric.
Sugar Maple Disaster
Ahh well onto another week of glorious stitching. Have a fun week everyone.
xx

Congrats for the winners!!! Sorry for your fabric: usually hand dye fabrics are so beautiful but if it is not what you expected, it can be soooo disapointing. Have you tried silkweaver? I hope you will find a way to use your fabric (or sell it if you don't like it) and that you'll find another fabric for your cirque project (that I don't know ;-) )

Huge congratulations to the winners - and thanks for such a lovely giveaway.
Great news about the scan - you won't worry what to do with your little one when you get him, I promise. We had four boys, and I would have kept having more, if only they didn't work out so expensive ;) [ always available for babysitting if you need it]
So disappointing about your fabric - but you do need to be happy with what you're using before you set off on a major project.

Congrat's to the winners, it's very exciting that your having a boy I have a younger brother and he is so loving he's a proper mummy's boy where as me and my sister were daddy's girls

That sure is an unusual cut of linen. I would have been unhappy too, will they pay for the return shipping?

Hazel, im so excited to be one of your winners!! Woo hoo!! Thank you so much. I emailed you last night.
That's great news that you're having a boy, how exciting. Now you can go shopping for boy things!

I love the fabric - just not for CDC. Have you tried CountryStitch - they have fabric that is much more subtle than some of the fabric at SMF.

Congrats on the scan! That's very exciting news.

Congratulations to the lucky winners! I'm so sorry about your fabric, I've had that experience before of recieving a fabric that looks nothing at all like the picture when you ordered it. I hope you can find a use for it, and find something else more to your liking for CDC.

Congratulations to the winners!!! You are very lucky ladies to be receiving something beautiful stitched by Hazel.
A boy - hey that's great!! We have one of each and that is such fun. He will give you just as much joy as you dear daughter.
So sorry about your fabric. Rather than send it back and have all those additional costs you are probably better of to put it in your stash for a future project.

Congrats to the winners. And a big congratulations to you on your little boy! All I can say is get speedy with the diaper changing-LOL

I have never ordered from Sugar Maple fabrics-but I was little put off the other day from their website as they had quite a bit of stuff on backorder. I just didn't understand it. Good luck with getting more fabric.

Congratulations to the winners!

I had to laugh when you said what do you do with a boy!! LOL! I thought the same when I was convinced I was having a boy when I was pregnant with Abi! It's fantastic news though; one of each:)

I'm sorry you were so disappointed with the fabric. Have you decided what you are going to do?

How fantastic to find out you are having a boy! Now you can pick out all the sweet little blue things for him.

May be the fabric might be better used for a baby sampler? Sorry its not what you were hoping for.

Lucky winners! It's can really be potluck ordering things off the internet when colour matters, can't it?? I've ended up with a few surprises arriving through the door that I didn't mean to order - hopefully you'll find something to use the fabric for (or sell it?). A boy - how exciting!

Hi Hazel,

Thank you for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment. I appreciate it =)

Congratulations to the winners of your contest. They must think your dd has golden fingers for picking their names hehehe..That is very nice of you to do.

Sorry about your SMF fabby. Maybe you can ask Mindy to compensate for the price of you having to send it back. I know some1 had had a problem and Mindy exchanged it but she told her to keep the fabby also. Have a great day!

What a shame about your SMF fabbie... its always a risk buying fabric sight unseen.

So sorry about your fabric. I can think of several pieces that would be wonderful for, but not for CdC. That's great that they'll exchange it. Hopefully they'll look at the next piece they send and keep in mind the project you want to do on it. I'll keep my fingers crossed they get back to you soon and the next piece works perfect with the threads you picked out.

LOL Don't know what to do with a boy, I had the same thought when we had a girl after two boys. Thanks for opportunity to win one of your pieces and congratulations to the winners.

Congratulations to you, Hazel, for the wonderful news of having a baby boy. I am like you, a girl followed by a boy and they are just great! The Chinese word 好 meaning Good is formed with the single word of girl女 + boy子. :)
