Thanks so much guys..

Thank you so much for all the kind comments and emails you have sent me during this last week. They have been very much appreciated. There has been a little breakthrough this week although I don't feel we are quite out of the woods yet. Faith and patience is the key. And lots and lots of prayer. Thank you to those who are agreeing with me in prayer for this situation to turn around. I really trust and believe it will.

Anyway. Onto a more cheery post of some productive finishes I have this week.

First up is part 7 of the istitch mystery. I can't believe I have kept up with this one. I really do think I am better with a bit of a push and a shove and a kick up the behind in order to get me to do things. It appears the whole, "finish the part then you will get the next part" appears to have worked for me. Only one more part to go and then I will be looking into finishing it into something.

part7

I also made The Sampler Girl ornie into an ornie today. Just another simple cushion finish backed by red fabric with holly on it. I'll have a few of these to go on my tree this year. I think I may need to get a bigger stitching tree.

I took a break from crochet and knitted up some wrist warmers for DD which I had had the wool for for quite some time. I used Sirdar Crofter which knits up like Fair Isle but without all the hassle. I am quite pleased with them although I did make a mistake but made the other one the same so it matched. It is all that business about ending on a right side row stuff. Pah! I am sure it must have been a man that made these patterns.

Finally, I have made a bit more progress on Part 2 of Sampler Aux Bouquets. I am really loving this but dreading when I get to the end of this piece as I have not yet ordered part 3 as I have no printer at the moment and I have been getting them in PDF format. Anyway, here she is..

And lastly, browsing Tabiboo's blog, I came across this post on scent and I have been wanting to get one of these tart burners for some time now. I have bought them as gifts for friends and sisters but never one for myself. I think I was secretly hoping someone would buy me one but no luck so I finally ordered one for myself and it is lovely! I bought this Autumn hand painted one to go in my red autumnal room. It matches perfectly and lets out the sweetest smell. I bought a pack of Christmas scents but want to get a set of the kitchen ones now. A lot of money but I am so happy with it and I felt I did really deserve a treat, you know.

So that's all from me for a while. My hand really hurts. I think I have torn a ligament in it and find it hard to pick anything up - even light things. It even hurts to type! So I am off to rest it. See you in a little while.

Beautiful afghan and stitchin, sending you good wishes for a speedy recovery. Hang on tight friend, sometimes it's all we can do to give us comfort while things work themselves out...

Great projects Hazel and love your little tart warmer. Sometimes it's those little things that cheer the soul. Love your Bouquet Sampler, it is such a pretty piece. Hoping you can resolve your personal issues...it is very stressful I know from experience.

Sending faith towards your troubles, printer, and hand.

How wonderful your tart warmer seems! I have admired the concept, though have never seen (smelled) one in action! It seems lovely, and I don't know that I could decide between Christmas or Kitchen!

Also, such beautiful stitching! I think my favorite is that Sampler Girl ornament; I am always impressed anew when I see that someone has stitched it up! It looks great!

Help, I am two behind on Carol's SAL, got to get a wiggle on! Love your colour. Don't blame you getting a treat for yourself. Lots of hugs, Hazel.

I do think you deserve a little treat for yourself! Nice! Love your projects -- they're all so wonderful! Continued prayers that things will get better for you.

Lovely finishes both stitching and knitting. Love your treat for yourself very definitely deserved.

Well that's just a right old pants thing to have happen while things are tough for you. A torn ligament in you knee would be ok, probably welcome, all that sitting down time, but in your hand? What a beeee-atch.

I hope so much that things brighten up for you but in the mean time enjoy that beautiful burner.

Hi Hazel! don't remember if I mention it to you, but the very name of your blog inspires me.Yes, it inspired me to start stitching. So, thank you for being here and for sharing your beautiful work.Love and blessings.

Wonderful work. I've used King Cole Splash and that knits into a sort of Fair Isle.
Hope your hand is soon recovered, I recently overdid the crochet and my elbow has been giving me trouble, switching to knitting seems to have helped.
Tarts seem to give a much more intensive smell than the small candles, I've used the 'bits' out of the bottom of votives in my burner.
Hope you can get your pattern printed, if I can help out let me know.

I'm sorry to read that you're going through a rough time right now. Sounds like you have it right... prayer is the answer. No matter how big or small an obstacle or a problem seems, it's good to know that God is always there.

Your crochet projects look awesome, as are your stitching WIPs. :)

I've been reading your blog for a couple of weeks and notice that your photos often do not show up in Google Reader. On today's post, only the last two displayed. Just a little thing, but using the reader saves me precious time. Love your knitting and will have to ask my daughter if she's heard of that yarn.

Super handwarmers, i've got a pair of socks in that yarn and it amazed me when it knitted up fair isle.

SaB is looking beautiful, i hope you are able to get Part 3 printed off.

The tart burner is lovely, you've been through some rotten stuff lately so truly deserve a little special treat to yourself, shame i can't 'sniff' it from here.

Take care and rest your wrist, you'll have to catch up on book reading for a day or two.

love and {hugs}

(3rd time i have tried to comment on this post, hope it works this time and you haven't got 3 comments from me LOL)

Love all of your projects! The ornament is adorable, and your Bouquet Sampler is gorgeous! Lovely wrist warmers, too. I asked my daughter to make some for me. ;)

I'm glad to hear that there's been a bit of a break through--I'm praying that things continue to improve. Prayer gets me through--that and knowing that God will be there no matter what happens. Big hugs to you--praying that all goes well for you. I hope your hand heals quickly, too!

Dear Hazel, I am sure this means that things went bad but do keep faith and pray for a good solution. I am glad you can find comfort with your needle (or hook) and thread (or yarn). I find the same. Take care of that hand and yourself my friend!

Your projects are all wonderful and the ornament is fabulous.
