Biscornu exchange received and a request

I got the most gorgeous biscornu from Sally and the lovliest extras. It was a mini exchange with just four of us involved. The theme was "Autumn colours Biscornu" and this certainly sums up the lovely colours we see this time of year. Sally, you have done a superb job and I just love it!!! The fabric and threads are scrummy too and can't wait to put these to good use.

Sally's biscornu exchange top me Oct 08

I sent mine off yesterday so hope to be able to show you what I stitched soon.

Okay now I am going to be really cheeky here and make a request. If you don't ask you don't get right???? So you know I am working on making a crochet granny blanket for my dd's bed and I am doing it in all sorts of weird colours (very seventies). Well, what I'd like to request is if anyone has any old, odd balls of wool that they are unlikely to use could you kindly pass them my way???? It is taking up a lot more wool than I thought and I am running low quite quickly. Like I said I will take any colour of any ball, any size etc. If you have any that you'd like to lovingly donate please email me for my address if you don't already have it.

Right, cheekiness over. Hope you all have a good weekend. I have enjoyed catching up on some blogs and esp some newbies too. Thanks for all your happy thoughts and comments. They are so appreciated as I am having a bit of a tough time of things at the moment. But that is another post for another day.

Hugsxx

I don't think it's a cheeky request at all! I don't knit, though. I do have the odd ball of yarn I use for other stuff, but none of it is wool - just acrylic blended stuff. If you can use that, however, let me know!

I'm not sure if I've got any as I had a tidy out a few months ago. I'll check for you though.

How delicate and beautiful the biscornu is from Sally. I love that she used Autumn colors but muted them. I'm going to look at my knitting yarns to see what I have for you.
Hugs, Deb

So pleased you liked the biscornu Hazel. It's always a bit of a worry when you're stitching for someone else:)

Definitely not cheeky to ask for wool. I'm afraid I gave all my bits and pieces to DH's auntie a few years ago or I'd have been happy to pass them on to you.

What a lovely biscornu. The colors are just perfect. I donated most of my leftover wool a couple of years ago but i may have some scraps. As I pack for AZ i will look and see if I have any around.
I hope that whatever is upsetting you gets straightened out soon and you are smiling again. {{{{{hugs}}}}

That is one beautiful biscornu. Sorry, Hazel, I have no wool lying around, but if I did, I would gladly donate it. What do you mean cheeky?
Hope you feel better soon!

The biscornu is lovely. I have extra cotton yarn laying around but no extra wool. I'm still working on the crewel design, but the kit comes with a very small yardage of wool. If I do come across any, I'll let ya know!

Just been admiring this on Sally's blog - gorgeous! :0)
Wish I could help you out Hazel but I cleared out the wool oddments I had years ago. Have you thought of trying your local Freecycle group?
Sending (((((hugs))))), in case you need them.

Well, I don't use wool, just acrylic yarns mostly, and some cotton for crochet. So I don't have any wool to send you, wish I did. Loved the biscournu, very sweet. They really are delightful pieces to have in your collection. NOw you have one more :-)..... And Sally you did a very nice job!
