My DD - Divergent Daughter

My DD or Divergent Daughter as I am now calling her decided a while ago that she wanted a really short hair cut. Pixie cut even. If you know anything about the books A Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth or have seen the films then you will recognise this hair cut as one that Shailene Woodley had done. The actress first got this haircut in the film Fault in Our Stars I believe which she filmed in between Divergent and Insurgent. Anyway, It is a nice cut and one that Divergent Daughter decided she liked most of all. I actually preferred the Ginnifer Goodwin crop but perhaps that is for another day.

I must say, I admire her bravery. I wish I had the confidence to pull off this haircut. Maybe one day when I have lost a bit more weight.

  6. I love the cut! Your daughter pulls it off so well! She's beautiful and she is definitely the age to master this cut! It makes me yearn for the day when I was her age 😀!

  8. What a pretty girl, and very brave to go to such extremes! Her new style is very lovely, especially the back, but call me old fashioned - I liked her hair long. Maybe, like you, it's the mummy in me thinking how much older and grown up it makes her look!

  10. I looked at the before picture and thought 'don't do it!' - she looked so gorgeous, but then I saw the after picture and was an immediate fan - she looks stunning and, yes indeed, very grown up! xx

  12. That really suits her. I love the way that in movies, when the girl just hacks at her hair with a manky old pair of scissors she always ends up with a really cute pixie cut. Imagine the mess you'd get if you did it that way in real life...

  13. Oh her haircut is awesome!! Kudos to her for doing it, it really suits her.

I had a pixi cut in my late 20's and LOVED it, the husband well he could not wait for my hair to grow back out, MEN LOL......

Did she donate all that long beautiful hair she cut off?

  20. A lovely new style. What a lot was chopped off and restyled.

My granddaughters hair is down to her waist and she will not have it cut.... will show her this for inspiration and hopefully get her to go for the chop too! lol.

  22. You have to have some courage to cut your hair when it is that long. Your daughter looks absolutely great with the short hair.
